Do you take a commission on referred sales?
No. 1ClickReferral never charges a percentage or a fee per referral. The Free plan costs nothing.
Is there a limit on referrals or advocates?
No. Referrals and advocates are unlimited on the Free plan.
How do customers join the program?
Every buyer is enrolled automatically after checkout. Their personal code and share buttons appear on the Thank You and Order Status pages, with a link to their own referral page.
When does an advocate get their reward?
As soon as a friend places an order with the advocate's code, the advocate is emailed a one-time reward code. Each friend earns the advocate one reward.
How are self-referrals stopped?
A Shopify Function blocks shoppers from using their own code at checkout, and the app checks again before issuing a reward. It matches the customer, email variations, and phone number.
What rewards can I offer?
Friends can get a percentage off, a fixed amount off, or free shipping. Advocates get a one-time percentage or fixed-amount discount code. Both can target products or collections and have a minimum spend and expiry.
Do I need to edit my theme or code?
No. Add the 1ClickReferral block in your checkout editor, customize the text and offers, and turn the program on. The widget picks up your checkout branding.
Does it work with other currencies and languages?
Fixed-amount discounts convert to the shopper's currency at checkout. You write the widget and email text yourself, so it can be in your store's language; one language is supported per store.
